Biaxial Oriented Polypropylene Films (BOPP-Films)

BOPP films are biaxial oriented polypropylene films. After the extrusion through a flat-sheet die the films are oriented many times within a stretching line in order to get increased strength and transparency. BOPP films are used for packaging of various goods, e.g. flowers and food. Due to the high tensile strength, they are used as tear tapes as well. Another important characteristic of BOPP films is the excellent shrinkage therefore they are used for packing goods free from creases.

Cast Films CPP is a polypropylene film produced by cast extrusion process in the plastics industry. The type of films is different from BOPP film. It belongs to a non-orientation film. The CPP film only has some kind of orientation in the machine direction (MD), mainly caused by the nature of the process. Through the rapid cooling in cold casting roller, the film appearances are excellent, clarity and smoothness. Cast films are used in packing of various goods, e.g. presents and food. Also,they can be used for automotive industry and office materials.

1.Antiblocking Masterbatches

The ingredients of the CONSTAB®Antiblocking Masterbatches are very well dispersed in order to prevent any spots on the fi lm surface due to agglomeration and aggregation.

2.2 Super-Slip Grades

12.CONSLIP® Products

CONSTAB Polyolefin Additives GmbH has introduced a permanent non-migrating slip concept

in order to replace common applied additive systems based on migrating agents. CONSLIP masterbatches are only dosed in the skin layer of the untreated film side.

Due to the natural CONSLIPattitude to transfer after winding, both untreated and treated side,

will reach immediately modulatable and very stable slip properties with an accuracy of ± 0.02 CoF units. Despite the transfer to the treated film side the CONSLIP additive does not affect the compatibility

with inks, adhesives and metallization process.

CONSLIP masterbatches provide also excellent hot-slip properties against metal at elevated temperatures. Therefore they are especially suitable for high-speed packaging processes.

CONSLIP masterbatches are available without and in combination with antiblocking agents.
